Improperly Installed Hot Water Vent

The vent from the hot water heater is improperly installed from the top, this vent should have been installed using a “Y” fitting and from the side. As installed improper drafting may occur resulting is back drafting of dangerous gasses to the living spaces. In addition the use of foil tape is not permitted.
